# MC_RTT (Neural Latents Benchmark): intracortical spiking results

One macaque’s motor-cortex spiking during self-paced reaching: finger velocity

MC_RTT (DANDI 000129) holds sorted spiking activity and behaviour from one rhesus macaque making self-paced reaches between targets drawn at random from an 8 × 8 grid, with no gaps or pre-movement delays, recorded by an electrode array implanted in primary motor cortex, together with finger, cursor and target position. Recorded by Joseph O'Doherty and colleagues in the Sabes Lab at UCSF, prepared for the Neural Latents Benchmark (Pei et al., 2021) and released on DANDI under CC BY 4.0. Only its stored training and validation trials are used here; its test file is not opened.

One macaque in one session, with training and validation trials interleaved: with one animal every figure is that animal’s, and no interval is reported, because the validation rows are correlated samples, not independent subjects. Not an official Neural Latents Benchmark score and not co-smoothing; offline, with no real-time or closed-loop claim, and no cross-day, cross-animal or human claim.
